When Cliff and I were trying to settle on a name for this website, we considered www.leaveyoursockson.com. Why? Because knowing it’s okay to leave your socks on during – well, you know – is one of the defining moments of really knowing your married.
Married sex has a bad rep. It’s predictable, four out of five women say in iVillage’s annual survey of married sex.
And sure, maybe it is. For one, it almost always happens in the same place. With the same person.
But you know what else those women said – most said they’re pretty happy with their sex lives: they initiate, their spouses’ initiate, and they try new things.
Let’s be honest: iVillage’s annual survey isn’t hard core academic research. I can’t even find how many people were surveyed, or their ages, or the other data you expect to get that shows the validity of a survey. But I can tell you that results seem about right. Married sex may be predictable but that doesn’t mean it’s bad.
